Three Fourteeners
Boy I traveled a long way on some really bad roads to camp right in front of these three towering fourteen thousand foot peaks.
From left to right they are; Wilson Peak, 14,017', Mt. Wilson, 14,246' and El Diente Peak, 14,159'. The tall pointy peak is Lizard Head Peak.
The weather was rotten. It rained more than I thought it could the last night. I was sure I was just going to drive into Telluride for breakfast with nothing to show for my time. But just then the clouds cleared and I was able to get a few good images.
The ridge lines are massive and they extend for many miles. The forest is as healthy as they get. This is truly a very big space.
